A photo whose mood inspires you, a logo whose exact colors you need to recover, a reference visual to turn into a brand palette: drop the image and the tool pulls out its dominant colors. The algorithm samples the pixels and clusters similar shades to produce a faithful palette of four to eight colors, from the main tone to the accents. Each color is shown with its HEX code, ready to copy in one click for your mockups, CSS or moodboard. Adjust the color count depending on how much detail you want. The analysis runs entirely in your browser: your images stay on your device, and the result appears in about a second.

Frequently asked questions
How are the dominant colors determined?
The image is sampled, then pixels are clustered by color similarity (quantization): each cluster yields an average color, weighted by how much of the image it covers. The result reflects the real color masses, not just the brightest pixels.
Can I recover the exact colors of a logo?
Yes — on a logo with flat, solid areas, the extracted colors match the original shades. On a photo, you get representative averages instead, which is perfect for building a mood palette.
What can I do with the extracted palette?
Copy the HEX codes into your CSS, Figma or brand guidelines. Combined with our palette generator, any extracted color can also seed a full set of color harmonies.
