A well-presented quote is often the first impression you make on a future client. This generator lets you produce one in minutes: your details and the prospect’s, quote number and date, line items with quantities and unit prices, preset Swiss VAT rates (8.1%, 2.6%, 3.8%) or any custom rate, currency, an offer validity date, IBAN and notes. Totals update live as you type, and the finished document comes out as a clean A4 PDF, ready to send. Best of all, everything happens in your browser: your entries are saved locally on your device so the next quote starts pre-filled, and no data is ever sent to a server. Free, no sign-up, no watermark.

How does it work?

  1. Fill in your details, the prospect’s details, the quote number and date.
  2. List your services line by line: description, quantity, unit price.
  3. Pick the VAT rate, the currency and the offer’s validity date.
  4. Check the live totals, then generate the PDF and send it off.

Frequently asked questions

Is a signed quote legally binding?

Yes. Under Swiss law a quote is an offer within the meaning of the Code of Obligations: as soon as the client accepts it — by signature, an explicit email, even verbally — the contract is formed and both parties are bound by the listed services and prices. Hence the importance of precise descriptions, a validity period and clear terms (deposit, deadlines, revisions).

How long should a quote remain valid?

Thirty days is the common standard; some trades drop to 15 days when material prices move quickly, while long projects may warrant 60 or 90 days. What matters is writing it down explicitly: once the date has passed, you are no longer bound by the quoted prices and can issue an updated offer.

Does my data really stay on my device?

Yes. Both the form and the PDF generation run entirely in your browser: neither your pricing nor your prospects’ details ever pass through a server. Fields are stored locally on your device to pre-fill your next quote — clear the site data to remove everything.

What is the difference between a quote and an invoice?

A quote is a proposal issued before the work: it describes what you will deliver and at what price, and requests no payment. An invoice is issued after (or during) the work and demands settlement. Good practice: carry the accepted quote’s lines over to the invoice unchanged — the client recognises them and pays without quibbling.
