Does trimming degrade the audio quality?
In most cases, no: when the output format matches the original, the excerpt is copied as-is, without re-encoding. The quality is identical down to the byte.
Can I trim a long recording, like a podcast episode?
Yes. There is no limit on the source file's length: you can extract three minutes from a two-hour recording. Cutting without re-encoding stays fast even on large files.
How do I find the exact cut points?
Use the built-in player: pause playback at the right moment and copy the displayed time into the start and end fields. One-second precision is enough for most uses.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
