Frequently asked questions
How do I keep the GIF file size small?
Three levers: shorten the clip, reduce the width (320–480 px covers most uses) and lower the frame rate (10–12 fps still looks smooth). A 3–5 second GIF at 480 px typically weighs just a few megabytes.
Why is the duration capped at 15 seconds?
GIF is a very inefficient format: beyond 15 seconds, files balloon and become painful to load. For anything longer, a muted looping MP4 is almost always the better choice.
Why does the quality look better than other converters?

Does the GIF include sound?
