Frequently asked questions
Why does my CSV open wrong in Excel?
Excel expects a delimiter that depends on your system language — comma or semicolon. If the export uses the other one, everything lands in a single column. This tool detects the actual delimiter and produces a properly split XLSX.
Is my data uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely on your device: customer lists, accounting exports and internal data never leave your computer.
Are accents and special characters preserved?
Yes — files are handled as UTF-8, preserving accents, currency symbols and special characters, one of the classic causes of “broken” files when opened directly.
What if my Excel file has several sheets?
The first sheet is converted to CSV, since the CSV format can only represent one table at a time. Move the sheet you need into first position before converting.
