GPX

Drop a GPX file to display the track on the map.

Part 1 Part 2

Forgot to stop the recording and captured the drive home? Want to share just one leg of a long route? Drop your GPX file and the track appears on an interactive map. Click anywhere along it to place the cut point, then nudge it point by point with the slider until it lands exactly where you want. Both sections light up in different colors so you can check the split at a glance, and each downloads as a standalone GPX file that works with Strava, Garmin Connect, Komoot and any GPS app. The whole process runs in your browser — your track never leaves your device, and the tool is free with no account required.

How does it work?

  1. Drop your GPX file — the track appears on the map.
  2. Click on the track where you want to cut.
  3. Fine-tune the cut point with the slider if needed.
  4. Download part 1, part 2, or both.

Frequently asked questions

How do I place the cut point precisely?

Click roughly where you want the split, then use the slider to move the cut point one track point at a time. Both sections recolor live so you can see exactly what each file will contain.

Can I split a track into more than two parts?

Each pass cuts the track in two. For three or more sections, download one part and drop it back in to cut again — it only takes a few seconds.

Are timestamps and elevation data preserved?

Yes. Each section keeps its original track points with their elevation and timestamps, so the files remain fully usable in sports and analysis apps.

Which apps can open the resulting files?

Both parts are standard GPX files, compatible with Strava, Garmin Connect, Komoot, AllTrails and most hiking and cycling GPS devices.
