Which videos am I allowed to download?

Which URL should I paste?
The full tweet address, from "Share" then "Copy link" (for example x.com/username/status/…). Both twitter.com and x.com links work.
What quality is the downloaded video?
The best quality the platform serves, usually MP4. Note that X re-compresses videos on upload, so the file matches the version streamed online, not your original camera file.
Why does the download sometimes fail?
Deleted tweets, private accounts and restricted content can't be accessed. Make sure the tweet is public and actually contains a video — GIFs and images aren't supported.
