Text Cleaner

Doubled spaces, stacked line breaks, stray emojis: get a clean text in one click.

Cleaned text

Text copied from a PDF, an email or a Word document rarely arrives clean: doubled spaces, trailing spaces at line ends, paragraphs separated by four blank lines, emojis that have no place in a formal document. Paste your text and tick the clean-ups you want: collapse multiple spaces and trim line-end spaces, cap consecutive line breaks, strip emojis and pictographs, transliterate accents (é becomes e) for systems that reject them. Options stack, the result updates live, and a counter shows the character count before and after. Nothing ever leaves your browser: free, no sign-up, no length limit worth mentioning.

How does it work?

  1. Paste your text into the input area.
  2. Tick the clean-ups to apply: spaces, line breaks, emojis, accents.
  3. The cleaned text appears live, with the number of characters saved.
  4. Copy the result with one click.

Frequently asked questions

Where do all these stray spaces and line breaks come from?

Mostly from copy-paste: PDFs insert a line break at every visual line end, Word sprinkles non-breaking spaces and paragraph marks, quoted emails pile up blank lines. Every tool has its own layout logic, and your text inherits all of it. A systematic clean-up beats fixing it by hand every time.

Why would I strip accents from a text?

For contexts that handle them badly: file names shared across systems, usernames, URLs, CSV imports into legacy software, certain airline or banking form fields. Transliteration (é→e, ü→u, ç→c) keeps the text readable while making it pure ASCII. For text meant to be read, keep your accents!

Does emoji removal strip anything else?

The tool targets the Unicode pictograph ranges: emojis, decorative symbols, flags, skin-tone variants. Punctuation, digits, letters from every alphabet and useful symbols (€, %, ©) are preserved. Handy for sanitising customer reviews, social media exports or messages before archiving.

Can the clean-up change the meaning of my text?

No: none of the options touch the words themselves. Multiple spaces become single, stacks of line breaks are reduced to a standard paragraph break, and that is it. Only accent transliteration alters characters — which is why it is optional and unticked by default.
